Making An Impact
In 2005, Alfred and Bidemi’s vision grew to build “Ker Boroom Bi” which is Wolof (the local language) for “The Lord’s House.” There they want to minister to children of the poor by providing them with their most basic physical needs. They also want to provide a place of worship for Christians in the midst of a strong majority of Muslims, over 92%.
Alfred and Bidemi are practically the only two evangelical Christians in Passy. Throughout the day one can hear the daily prayers of Muslims echoing from mosques all over the city. As one can see & hear, they desperately need to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. Doing so requires a larger, more modern facility with a kitchen, dining hall, laundry room, as well as a teaching hall and library for the children to be taught and to study. The facility can also be used as an outreach center to provide for and disciple the street children and community at large.
Ker Boroom Bi will open doors to the Gospel through love.
KBB will run a hostel which will serve orphans and the less
privileged
in the following ways:
- Giving parental care, education and sharing the Gospel
- Running children’s Bible clubs
- Ministering to the Quranic children and street children
- Providing health care services
